It is my pleasure to welcome RAGBRAI back to the Glenwood area on behalf of the citizens of Glenwood, the Business Community and Mills County.
Glenwood is a friendly community and we are excited to be hosting RAGBRAI this year on July 23. Our community is filled with historic charm and scenic beauty. We have made many improvements to our town since RAGBRAI was here in 2003 to showcase our unique shops, local businesses, and cafés. Glenwood offers a wide variety of activities for your enjoyment including local parks and recreation areas with many miles of walking and biking trails, and a YMCA. Our country club offers a 9-hole regulation golf course and its short layout will reward good shots and provide a fun outing for everyone. We are also very proud of our brand new High School.
I am sure that you will come to appreciate the beauty of the area and the friendliness of the people. Glenwood is an excellent place to live, work and play, and our quality of life is exceptional. Combine that with our low crime rate, our excellent schools, and our proximity to the metro area, and I think you will agree that Glenwood really is “The Best of Both Worlds.” Enjoy your stay with us and take time to get acquainted with our fine merchants, parks, golf course, YMCA, or the local library!
